Ashley Boulden’s passion for teaching, hockey and softball go hand in hand.
She credits her biological family, Rider University's field hockey and softball families and the teacher education department in the School of Education for instilling a positive attitude that is deeply rooted in her personal and professional development. “I am surrounded by positive people who help make what I do so incredible,” said Boulden of Brooklawn , a senior elementary education/psychology major and special education minor and a co-captain of Rider’s field hockey team. “I would not have it any other way.”

Biggest heart on Lions is in smallest player
The loudest cheer from the crowd in the Gloucester High School bleachers came when the Lions were already ahead by 33 points late in the third quarter.
That is when senior Michael Pantalone made a tackle on his first play of the game.

Gloucester City South Port Development; Will Take Years To Complete
Work continues on clearing the former GAF site at Charles and Water Streets. The work has been ongoing for almost a year now and there is still much to do.
Beazer homes plans to eventually built townhouses and condominiums on the GAF property once it is cleared. The company is also building new homes on the former Starlite Drive-In property at Route 130 and Klemm Avenue. Two properties at that site have been sold. The company plans to build a total of 63 homes which are selling for the mid $200,000.
Next week as part of the City's Fall Festival a bus tour of the South Port area is being offered. For those who will be unable to take the tour you can look at the photos of the site in the album posted in the left hand column.

The Gloucester City High School Homecoming game was played today, Monday at home between the Lions and Salem. The game was originally planned for Saturday but because of inclement weather, it was postponed. The final score , Salem 34, GHS 26.

Gloucester City Fire Dept Fight Blaze In National Park
(Firehouse.com) A National Park NJ ( Gloucester County ) couple barely escaped with their lives when a fast moving fire engulfed their home on October 25th. Shortly after noon Gloucester County NJ 911 Center was receiving numerous calls for a working house fire at the corner of 3rd and New Jersey Avenue.
A Multi-District Task Force assignment was dispatched an the National Park, Woodbury and Westville Fire Companies. The first officer on the scene was Unit 701, Westville Chief Chuck Murtaugh reported that he had a one and a half story, wood frame dwelling heavily involved and would be using all hands and to dispatch a Fast Team assignment from Gloucester City ( Camden County ).
