Woolwich Township's Jaime Gialloreto, Crowned Miss New Jersey 2018

Former Air Force Police Officer Found Guilty of Manslaughter that Killed Two in Bordentown

Shade Cooper MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (June 15, 2018)(CNBNewsnet)– Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina announced that a former U.S. Air Force military police officer was found guilty today of causing an automobile accident in Bordentown Township in late 2015 that killed two people, including her estranged husband. Shade Cooper, 28, of East Granby, Connecticut, was convicted by a jury in Superior Court of two counts of Reckless Manslaughter (Second Degree). The Hon. Philip E. Haines scheduled sentencing for August 3. The investigation revealed that Nicholas Cooper was visiting his children at Shade Cooper’s apartment on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst on December 2, 2015. The meters accept coin or Visa/MasterCard. Installation of the new smart meters in the Main St. business district as well as Chester Ave., E. Second St., and Church St. is in progress by the vendor, Civicsmart. Past Manager of Mooristown Assisted Living Facility Indicted for Stealing from Elderly Person

NEWARK, N.J. – The business manager of a Morristown, New Jersey, assisted living facility has been charged with exploiting her position to steal approximately $237,000 from an elderly victim under her care, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced today. Marcella Drakeford, 45, of Jensen Beach, Florida, is charged with six counts of mail fraud. Drakeford was arrested today and appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Shaniek M. Maynard in federal court in Fort Pierce, Florida. She was indicted March 16, 2018, by a federal grand jury sitting in New Jersey and is scheduled to be arraigned April 4, 2018, before U.S. District Judge Katharine S. Hayden in Newark federal court. According to the indictment: Beginning in December 2016, Drakeford allegedly agreed to help manage her victim’s financial affairs and pay for her care. Moorestown PD: Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over

The Moorestown Police Department is among law enforcement agencies around New Jersey taking part in the state's largest annual drunken driving crackdown. The 2017 "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" year-end holiday crackdown begins Dec. 8th and concludes on Jan. 1st. During the campaign, local and state law enforcement officers --including those from Moorestown PD will conduct roving patrols targeting motorists who may be driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs. "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" is a national campaign designed to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving through high-visibility enforcement. The campaign looks to curtail impaired driving during the Holiday season. Nationally, in 2016 there were 10,497 fatalities in motor vehicle traffic crashes involving drivers with blood alcohol readings of .08 or higher. Identity Released of Man Fatally Stabbed in Moorestown Sunday

July 10, 2017 MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. – Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Moorestown Police Chief Lee Lieber announced today that a man who was fatally stabbed during an apparent home invasion early Sunday morning has been identified as a 26-year-old Moorestown resident. The decedent, James R. Doyle, of the 400 block of North Church Street, was pronounced dead at a house in the 700 block of Hartford Road in Moorestown after a resident there called police at 12:23 a.m. Sunday to report that he had stabbed two intruders who entered his home. Doyle’s death was ruled a homicide during an autopsy performed today by Burlington County Medical Examiner Dr. Ian Hood. The investigation into the home invasion and stabbings is ongoing. Lawrence Pippins Charged with Sexual Assault of Pemberton Township Woman

School officials removed Shea’s five-foot graphic depicting a porcine President Trump clutching a snarling pussycat from the annual MHS Art & Design Show. Also removed was a painting of Trump on a missile, taking a selfie. MOORESTOWN, NJ (June 15, 2017)--On 6/13/17, Moorestown Police responded to a 911 call at 9:02pm reporting an armed robbery followed minutes later by a silent alarm from the WaWa located at 236 W. Moorestown Police Arrest Lawrence D. Dunn, Suspected of Robbing Rite-Aid Drug Store

Lawrence D. Dunn (photo provided) MOORESTOWN N.J. --Moorestown Police responded to a burglar alarm at Rite-Aid Drug Store. 121 W. Main St. at 1:52 am on January 4. Officers arrived to find that the store had been burglarized by breaking the glass in a rear door. Cigarettes valued over $300 were taken, the theft captured on in-store video. Officers maintained patrols in the area and at approx. 5:45 am, Corporal Jeff Pascual observed a subject matching the description of the burglar on Main St. in front of the CVS. The subject, Lawrence D. Dunn, of the 100 block Aspen Ct., Evesham, NJ age 32 was arrested and charged with Burglary & Theft along with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Information on the Township’s New Water Conservation Ordinance On October 17, 2016, Moorestown Town Council adopted a new ordinance to encourage and support water conservation efforts. This ordinance and the rules and guidelines within it are now in effect. Unlike the Township’s former water conservation ordinance, these rules are in effect 356 days a year. Below are the most pertinent points residents should be aware of. Moorestown School District Bus Driver Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Gloucester Township Police Chief Harry Earle announced a Gloucester Township man was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography. Robert Lynch, 55, was charged with 3nd degree possession of child pornography and was released on his own recognizance. Moorestown Police Department Arrest Suspects on Illegal Drug Charges

MOORESTOWN NJ--On June 20 at 5:45pm, as a result of a motor vehicle violation, the driver of a black Kia, Charles Francis Norman III age 25 from Moorestown was stopped on the McDonalds Restaurant parking lot at Camden Ave. & Lenola Rd. As a result of continued investigation, Norman was charged on a summons with Possession of CDS and Paraphernalia. His passenger, Dominic Xavier Harris age 22 from Delran fled the scene and was arrested by officers after a foot chase. Moorestown Police investigating a daytime Burglary

Moorestown Police responded to a residence in the 100 block of S. Church St. on 10/1/14 at 7:20 pm after the resident returned home to find that their residence had been burglarized during the day. Entry was gained by prying a 1st floor window. A ring valued at approximately $2000 and a lap top computer were stolen. A SJ Man was the victim of a Robbery in a Craigslist sale scam at the Moorestown Mall : Nixle

MOORESTOWN TOWNSHIP--Moorestown Police are investigating a Robbery that occurred on the Moorestown Mall parking lot 7/1/14 at approximately 8:15 pm. A 43 year old Gibbsboro man responded to a Craigslist offer selling a brand new IPhone 5C for $275.00. When he met the supposed seller at the Mall, the subject demanded his money at knife point. The perpetrator was described as a black male, approx. 5' 07" wearing a black baseball style hat, black t-shirt, and tan cargo style shorts. The victim was able to get away without injury or losing his money. One Burglary/Theft and One Attempted Burglary Overnight Friday : via Nixle

Moorestown Police Department press release MOORESTOWN NJ--Moorestown Police responded to a burglar alarm activation at a residence in the 100 block of Country Club Dr. on 6/20/14 at 10:25pm. Officers found that a screen had been removed from a rear window and the window was subsequently forced partially open activating the alarm. There was no apparent entry into the residence. The residents were not at home. Moorestown Police were contacted by a resident of the unit block of Bramley Rd. on 6/21/14 at 7:15am reporting that their residence had been burglarized sometime overnight. Entry was gained by prying a rear door. Numerous pieces of jewelry and two gift cards were stolen. The residents were not home when the Burglary/Theft occurred.
