48 People Indicted for Involvement in Cockfighting Case

MAYS LANDING, NJ – On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, an Atlantic County Grand Jury indicted 48 co-defendants in a case involving the illegal activity of animal cruelty and cockfighting. An investigation undertaken by Det. Mark Kienzle of the Galloway Township Police Department found electronic invitations to an illegally organized cockfight event scheduled in March of 2024. With the cooperative efforts of the Galloway Township Police Department, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, and other law enforcement agencies, law enforcement was able to stop a cock fight that was taking place in an arena constructed specifically for the purpose of rooster fighting. The defendants were arrested and charged with offenses including animal cruelty, mutilation of animals, witnessing/paying admission to attend an event involving animal fighting, gambling on animal fighting, possession of controlled dangerous substances, resisting arrest by flight. Shomari Kinard, 44, of Camden City found Guilty of Murder

Camden City N.J. (Oct. 12, 2024) – A jury has convicted a Camden man in the fatal shooting of a man in May 2018, announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez. Shomari Kinard, 44, of Camden, N.J., was found guilty on October 10, 2024, of first-degree Murder, second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. The verdict was returned after a jury trial of five (5) weeks in Camden County Superior Court. On May 10, 2018, at 8:13 p.m., Shomari Kinard, shot the victim, 25-year-old Nuquan Reddick, seven (7) times in his back outside of the Greattown Grocery and Deli at Louis Street and Morton Street in Camden City. (Camden City, NJ) – The Camden County Police Department is looking for a missing 14-year-old from East Camden. Aijinae Hall has been reported missing from her home on the unit block of Rand Street. She is described as a black female, 5’5”, 120 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing khaki pants and a black hoodie and is known to frequent Fairview and Collingswood. A senior citizen drove his brand-new Corvette convertible out of the dealership.
