Walleska "Eka" DiCiano, 96, of Gloucester City

Surrounded by and in the loving care of her family, Eka passed peacefully at home on June 19, 2025, at the age of 96. (nee Kahlan). Loving and devoted wife of 56 years to the late Albert J. DiCiano. Loving mother of Vicky Parent (Jim) and Valery Bennett (Robert). Cherished gram of Albert Parent, Gabe Parent (Shannon), Vanessa Little (Jim), Gemma Schultes (Jeff), Giselle Kelly (Andrew), Rhonda Bennett and Shayne Gismonde (Shaun). Beloved great-grandmother of Haylee Courant, A.J. Parent, Natalie Parent, Elizabeth Schultes, Vincent Kelly, Corinne Kelly, Jackson Schultes, Josephine Gismonde, Dominic Gismonde and Cole & Kevin Little. Loving sister of Karl J. Kahlan.
Predeceased by her sister Madge and her great-granddaughter, Ava Courant and her cousins, Bernice Boulden and Jane Chiodi.
Eka was born at home on Nicholson Road in Gloucester Heights and a lifelong resident of Gloucester City. She was a graduate of Gloucester High School class of 1945. Eka will be forever remembered for her love and devotion to her family and incredible cooking…especially her Sunday dinners. Her door was always open to anyone that wanted to stop. She loved spending her summers in North Cape May at the house her father built.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday morning, July 1st from 9 to 11 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City, where her funeral service will be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Gloucester City.
