Two CCPO Detectives Graduate DCJ Academy

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office is pleased to announce the graduation of two detectives from the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice Academy in Sea Girt, New Jersey.

Detective Kristen Smith (center left) and Detective Megan McMenamin (center right) graduated from the Basic Course for Investigators Class 25-1 on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.  They were joined at the graduation ceremony by Captain Shane Morgan (left) and Deputy Chief Randall MacNair (right).

Detective Smith will be assigned to the Crime Scene Investigations Unit.  She holds a Master of Forensic Science degree from Rutgers University and was previously employed in the university’s lab from August 2018 and May 2021.  She later served as an investigative intern with the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office in 2022 and was later hired full-time in March 2023.

Detective McMenamin will be assigned to the Grand Jury Unit.  She holds a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Joseph’s University.  Detective McMenamin previously served in the Naval Security Forces with the United States Navy on the USS George Washington in Norfolk, Virginia. She was honorably discharged from duty in March 2024.  She joined the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office in April 2024.
