SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (JUNE 12, 2025)(CNBNews)--United States Marine Corps veteran, Jimmy Friesenhahn, was shot in the line of duty as a level 4 security team member protecting patrons during Fiesta in San Antonio, TX. He was working at the El Patio Sports Bar when he spotted a man carrying a handgun in his pocket and tried to confiscate it, his brother-in-law Emmanuel Martinez told The NEW YORK POST
All funds donated will be used to help with the immediate needs of the family, adaptive equipment, housing modifications, and other much-needed services to assist with daily living expenses until the family can fully adjust to their new reality. At this time, we can only share that the injuries are serious and life-altering out of respect for the family’s privacy.
Your support is greatly appreciated for this American hero. Semper Fi.
His outraged family told The New York Post that the Democratic district attorney in San Antonio is soft-pedaling the charges after letting his attacker walk free following four prior arrests. The former Marine, who is 44, survived multiple overseas deployments, including to Iraq, during his 14 years in the Marines, and is paralyzed and can no longer speak.
Emmanuel Martinez is organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Jimmy Friesenhahn.
