WESTVILLE, NJ (JUNE 21, 2025) (CNBNEWS) – In a dramatic response to a frightening scene, the Westville Police Department, joined by several neighboring law enforcement agencies, converged on the Westville Manor Apartment complex at 712 Broadway late Friday night, June 20, around 11:26 PM. Reports of gunfire echoed through the area, sending officers racing to the location, where they found two female victims in distress. One victim lay on the ground, suffering from a gunshot wound to her abdomen, while the other bore a graze wound, evidence of the chaos that had unfolded.

Authorities reported that both victims were transported to a local hospital, where their injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.

The suspected shooter, still at large and shrouded in mystery, fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. In a concerted effort to locate the suspect, multiple police agencies, accompanied by K-9 units and a helicopter hovering above, conducted a thorough search of the surrounding area, their lights slicing through the darkness into the early morning hours of Saturday.

The Westville Police emphasized that this incident is still under active investigation. They urge anyone with information to come forward and contact the Westville Police Department at 856-456-0028.
