Delaney and assistant coaches Lindsey-Kate Smith, Nicole Valianti, Reilly Shaup and Olivia Elwell guided the Profs to one of the best seasons in school history. After going undefeated in the first eight games, which was a program first, the Profs finished the season at 16-4 to set the school record for victories, while being ranked #18 in the final IWLCA Coaches Poll.
Reaching the NJAC Championship game for the fourth consecutive year, Rowan earned an at-large berth to the NCAA Championship for the first time since 2018. The Profs hosted the Second Round and defeated Western Connecticut State, 20-5, for Rowan’s first NCAA win since 2008. Rowan reached the Round of 16 for the furthest advancement under Delaney where before falling to Wesleyan (CT).
The success of the season also brought numerous honors for the Profs. Among the highlights was recognition on the IWLCA All-America Team with senior Molly Green becoming Rowan’s first selection to the First Team since 2019, while junior Elaina Corson received All-America Second-Team honors.
It marks the first Regional Coaching honor for Delaney and staff in her 18 years at Rowan. The Profs received the 2025 NJAC Coaching Staff of the Year award, for the second time in Delaney’s career.
Rowan’s coaches will be honored along with the other winners at the IWLCA’s annual convention in November in St. Petersburg, FL.
