Road Construction/Closures to Affect Traffic

Expect delayPSE&G will be working on Haddon Avenue in Camden on Monday, June 16 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a lane shift between Liberty and Mechanic streets.

American Water will be working on Kaighn Avenue in Camden from Monday, June 16 to Tuesday, June 17 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Louis Street and Haddon Avenue.

Crews will be working on Berlin-Clementon Road in Clementon on Monday, June 16 to Friday, June 20 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure between White Horse and Higgins avenues.

Crews will be working on Coles Mill Road in Haddonfield from Monday, June 16 to Friday, June 20 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Utica Avenue, Farwood Road and Grove Street.

Crews will be working on Kings Highway in Audubon, Haddon Heights and Mt. Ephraim from Monday, June 16 to Friday, June 20 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. On Monday, there will be a full road closure at the intersection Kings Highway and East Lake Drive. On Tuesday, there will be a full road closure between Willits Avenue and the White Horse Pike. The closure is due to the ongoing Kings Highway improvement project that broke ground last fall.

 South Jersey Gas will be working in Somerdale on Tuesday, June 17 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. There will be a full road closure at the intersection of Ogg Avenue/West Somerdale Road and Nokomis Road and a partial road closure southbound on East Somerdale Road between Browning Avenue North and the White Horse Pike.

PSE&G will be working on East Park Avenue in Merchantville from Tuesday, June 17 to Wednesday, June 18 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a partial road closure between Center Street and East Chestnut Avenue.

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

Crews will be working on Fern Avenue in Collingswood from Tuesday, June 17 to Wednesday, June 18 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Maple and Haddon avenues.

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, 50 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
