Philadelphia Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Two Fugitives

On Monday, June 2, 2025, at approximately 2:39 a.m., officers from the 9th District responded to a report of a person with a gun on the 200 block of South Camac Street. Upon arrival, officers found 31-year-old Derwin Matthews lying on the highway with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim was transported by police to Jefferson Hospital, where he received was pronounced dead at 6:20pm.
Following an investigation by the Homicide Unit, two individuals have been identified as suspects in connection with the homicide. The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the following fugitives:
Tyrik Ransom (Left), 24 years old, with a last known address on the 7100 block of Buist Avenue.
Nysheem Hinson-Rakley (Right), 22 years old, with a last known address on the 900 block of Parrish Street.
