Philadelphia Police Overnight Incidents - Tuesday, June 3rd

Tuesday, June 3, at approximately 6:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to an incident in the 5th District at 4900 Ridge Avenue, where a 12-passenger dragon boat capsized. All individuals onboard were rescued by the Marine Unit. One person was transported by Medic to Temple University Hospital. There is currently no active scene, and the Northwest Detective Division is conducting an ongoing investigation.
Earlier in the day, at approximately 1:40 a.m., officers from the 15th District responded to a report of multiple individuals shot near the 6300 block of Torresdale Avenue. Victims #1 and #2 arrived at the 15th Police District and were subsequently transported to Temple University Hospital by police. Their vehicle had multiple bullet strikes along the driver’s side. A third victim was later located at Jefferson-Frankford Hospital. Officers recovered multiple fired cartridge casings and established a crime scene outside the 6300 block of Torresdale Avenue.
Victim #1, a 21-year-old male, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and is listed in stable condition. Victim #2, a 48-year-old male, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and is currently in critical but stable condition. Victim #3, a 24-year-old male, sustained a gunshot wound to the left arm and is in stable condition.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a dark-colored sedan approached the area and immediately began firing before fleeing southbound. No arrests have been made at this time. The Shooting Investigation Group is actively working the case.
