On June 15, 2025, at approximately 3:20 a.m., officers from the 35th District responded to Albert Einstein Medical Center, located in the 5500 block of Old York Road, after receiving a report of a gunshot victim dropped off by a private vehicle. Upon arrival, officers found the adult victim in the emergency room receiving treatment for a gunshot wound to the left shoulder. The male victim was uncooperative and refused to provide any information regarding the location of the shooting. The motive remains unknown, and the investigation is ongoing with SIG.
On June 14, 2025, at around 11:19 p.m., 24th District officers responded to a residence on the 3400 block of Braddock Street for a report of a “person with a gun, male shot.” Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the 23-year-old victim, who initially refused to answer the door. When he did eventually engage with police, officers observed that he had suffered a gunshot wound to his left hand. The victim was uncooperative. He was transported to Temple University Hospital by medics for treatment. The Shooting Investigation Group (SIG) is actively investigating the incident.
Also on June 14, 2025, at approximately 11:13 p.m., 22nd District officers responded to the 1200 block of West Huntingdon Street following a report of a “person with a gun, male shot on the highway.” Upon arrival, officers located a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. Police immediately transported him to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. No arrests have been made at this time, and the motive is currently unknown. The scene was secured and held for further investigation by SIG.
