Overnight Incidents Wednesday, June 4th

Phila policeAs of this morning, the Philadelphia Police Department is actively investigating several overnight incidents across the city. Please note that all information is preliminary and subject to updates as new details become available. Additional incident reports will be shared throughout the day as they are received.
In the 39th District, at approximately 5:31 a.m., police and fire personnel responded to 3844 Falls Road, where an adult male was pulled from the Schuylkill River. The individual was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center by Fire Department medics. Central Detectives are leading the ongoing investigation.
In the 24th District, a double shooting occurred at approximately 3:04 a.m. The first victim, an adult male, was transported to Temple University Hospital by police, where he was later pronounced deceased at 5:25 a.m. A second adult male victim, also transported by police to Temple Hospital, remains in critical condition. The Homicide Unit is investigating, and the scene remains held pending further inquiry.
In the 19th District, a shooting was reported on the 400 block of North 61st Street around 1:43 a.m. An adult male was shot while lying in bed inside his home. He was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center by medics in critical condition. The Shooting Investigation Group is actively investigating. 
Lastly, in the 3rd District, a double stabbing occurred aboard a SEPTA bus near 2800 South Broad Street at approximately 1:37 a.m. One male was evaluated at the scene by Medics, while a second male was transported to Jefferson Center City Hospital. South Detectives are continuing the investigation at this time.
