Lisa Kathleen Sivieri, 51

9362704_fbsOn June 16, 2025, the cherished daughter of Loretta and Angelo Sivieri and loving sister of Dr. Mark Sivieri died of a heart attack.

Lisa graduated from Washington Township High School in 1993. She was senior class president, and participated in various sports, clubs, and out of school activities.

Lisa played varsity soccer for four years. In 1993, she was voted the varsity soccer captain and then made the Group 4 Division All-star team, 2nd team All South Jersey and 3rd team All State. In other years, Lisa was on the swim team, track, and JV basketball. In 1991, as a freshman, Lisa placed 3rd in the Philadelphia half marathon. The Washington Township School teachers voted Lisa onto the 1993 Wall of Fame.

Lisa loved her club activities which included nine years as a violist in the orchestra, National Honor Roll Society, Student Council, Peer Facilitator, Spanish Club, Yellow Ribbon Sale, Prom Club and others.

Outside of school she was involved as a Special Olympics volunteer, a member of the orchestra town concert, American Red Cross donor and was certified in child CPR and life-saving aide.

Lisa attended Clemson University and earned a BA in Elementary Education. Later she entered the Acupuncture and Massage College in Miami, Florida where she graduated with a BA of Health Science. She later became a Diplomat of Acupuncture and was certified to practice in Maryland and NJ.

Lisa enjoyed traveling. She made numerous trips to third world countries. She said “I've always been drawn to the Spanish culture, and I want to learn as much as I can about it.” After graduation she returned to Ecuador and accepted a six-month volunteer position as a physical education teacher in a private school where she was paid $3 dollars a day. Some of the children did not have shoes and she had to wash her clothes in a basin. She always remarked that it was difficult, but not as bad as some countries where she washed her clothes in a river.

After several trips to Costa Rica, EL Salvador, Honduras and Ecuador, she was moved to start a non-profit with the mission to help abandoned and forgotten children of the world to fulfill their growth needs.

Lisa went on to teach Spanish at a local junior high and then became a certified acupuncturist.

Lisa developed a disability in May of 2015 and it became worse with time.

At the request of Lisa’s family, cremation and Catholic service are private.
