63 recruits to graduate Camden County College Police Academy
Thursday, June 12, 2025
Today at 2 p.m., 63 new recruits will be graduating from the 90th Basic Police Recruit Class of the Camden County College Police Academy. Of the 63 recruits, 18 will be joining the Camden County Police Department and three will be joining the Camden County Sheriff’s Office. In a special keynote address, all recruits will hear from Judge Morris G. Smith of the Superior Court of NJ Appellate Division.
“These recruits should be proud that they completed such rigorous training and are now beginning a new chapter in their careers in law enforcement,” Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said. “Law enforcement is one of the toughest jobs a person can do, and these recruits are rising to the challenge to serve their communities and keep people safe. We applaud them on their decision to enter this field and expect nothing but great things from them in the future.”
Among the traditions that will be observed during the formal ceremony is the badge-pinning many of the recruits will experience as they are “pinned” into their new profession by a family member who either is serving as or has retired from service as a law enforcement official.
