Andrew B. Johns Sworn In as Gloucester County Prosecutor

WOODBURY, NJ – Andrew B. Johns was officially sworn in yesterday afternoon as the new Gloucester County Prosecutor. The Honorable Benjamin C. Telsey, Assignment Judge Vicinage XV, administered the oath of office. Prosecutor Johns succeeds Acting Prosecutor Elizabeth Vogelsong-Parvin, who has led the office over the past year. “I am honored to serve my community as the next Gloucester County Prosecutor,” Johns stated. “I look forward to collaborating with the dedicated law enforcement professionals in the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office and our partner agencies to address violent crime, protect children from online sexual exploitation, and raise awareness about the increasing prevalence of financial scams. Working Papers for minors are now digital.

Working Papers applications are online at MyWorkingPapers.NJ.gov. Employers hiring teenagers must register online to receive a unique eight-digit code and share that code with every minor they intend to hire. The teen may then visit the website to create an account and start their working papers application, entering the employer's unique code. Caregivers must review the details of the job and provide proof of the minor's age. The NJ Department of Labor will notify the teen and the business when the application is approved. Wanted: Suspects for Aggravated Assault in the 18th District [VIDEO]

The police are investigating an aggravated assault which occurred on June 1st, 2025 in West Philadelphia. The victim told police she was walking down the unit block of South 51 st Street around 1:30 PM when a chemical was thrown on her, causing severe bums to her face and body. The victim was taken to the hospital for further treatment. After the incident, the juveniles board the El at 52nd Street and get off at 60th Street. Video recovered from the area, including video from SEPTA, does not capture the incident, but does show three juvenile males police would like to speak with. Run with the Docs at Virtua Health Sunday, June 8th

WHAT: Since its inception in 2015, Run with the Docs—a 5K run and a one-mile walk—has raised nearly $400,000 to support Virtua’s Perinatal Bereavement and Palliative Care Program, which helps to ensure that families who are experiencing pregnancy or infant loss have access to a multidisciplinary range of services that provide comfort and support during an exceedingly challenging time. This event is always an emotional reunion for patients, families, clinicians, and caregivers. Last year, 742 runners and walkers, comprising 43 teams, participated. Around 1,100 people representing 83 teams are expected at this year's run. Participants now have the option of fundraising for their teams. House Bill 1815- Saving Veterans From Foreclosure

HR1815 will approve a one-time bailout for veteran homeowners who are struggling to make their mortgage payments and are in a delinquent status facing foreclosure or short sale of the property. The payment covered by the VA program will be placed into a secondary mortgage in a forbearance status while the remainder of the primary mortgage is paid off, and then the remainder will be paid off following the closure of the main mortgage. Larry Dean Baga, 63, of Gloucester City

Affectionately known as "Little Guy" or "Sidewinder" On June 2, 2025, at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, Larry passed peacefully surrounded by his family, at the age of 63. Of Gloucester City. Formerly of South Philadelphia. Predeceased by his wife Anita (nee Rosetti) Baga. Survived by his daughters, Ashley Baga (Dave Sanchez), Brittany Baga and Christina Baga (Joe Stranahan); his cherished and adored grandchildren, Ariana and Natalee Ramos, Damien Dean Sanchez and Elena and Joseph Stranahan; his brother Lynn Baga (Helen); and his sister, Lomisa Baga. Charges Filed Against Mt. Holly Man for Allegedly Having Intercourse with Minor

MOUNT HOLLY, NJ (JUNE 6, 2025)--Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw and Mount Holly Township Police Department Acting Chief Clifford C. Spencer announced that a 44-year-old Mount Holly man has been charged with having sexual intercourse with an underage female over an extended period. Shawn R. Tracey, 44, of the first block of Parkers Mill Boulevard, was charged yesterday with 10 counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault (First Degree), 13 counts of Debauching the Morals of a Child (Second Degree), two counts of Sexual Assault (Second Degree) and one count of Showing Obscene Material to a Minor (Third Degree). Tracey, who is a deacon at Burlington Seventh-day Adventist Church in Burlington City, was taken into custody Tuesday at the Prosecutor’s Office in Mount Holly.
