Woodbine Man Arrested for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material

Woodbine, New Jersey (May 20, 2025)(CNBNews)- Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland has announced the arrest of 25-year-old Brandon M. Nicolosi from the Woodbine section of Dennis Township, New Jersey, on charges of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).

This investigation began with a Cyber-Tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), which indicated that an unidentified individual, later identified as Nicolosi, had downloaded and shared various images of CSAM.

 

Crime news

On May 15, 2025, authorities executed a court-authorized search warrant at Nicolosi’s residence, assisted by members of the Cape May County Regional SWAT Team, the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI-Atlantic City), the New Jersey State Police Woodbine Barracks, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). During the search, multiple cellular devices, including phones and laptop computers, were seized from the residence, and these devices were later found to contain images and videos of CSAM.

As a result of the investigation, Nicolosi was arrested on May 19, 2025, and charged with Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), which is classified as a third-degree crime. He has been processed and is currently lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Facility, awaiting court proceedings. A defendant charged with a third-degree crime in New Jersey may face a term of imprisonment ranging from three to five years in state prison.

Prosecutor Sutherland expressed gratitude to the New Jersey State Police (ICAC) for their assistance with this investigation. He emphasized that this action is part of the ongoing efforts by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office and the New Jersey State Police to identify individuals involved in the exploitation of children and those who possess or distribute CSAM.
