Road Closures to Affect Traffic

(Lindenwold, NJ) – PSE&G will be working on Kaighn Avenue in Camden from Monday, May 19 to Tuesday, May 20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound between Louis Street and Haddon Avenue.
Crews will be working on Chapel Avenue in Cherry Hill from Monday, May 19 to Thursday, May 22 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Hampton Road and Magnolia Avenue.
South Jersey Gas will be working on Berlin Cross Keys Road from Monday, May 19 to Thursday, May 22 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. There will be a partial road closure southbound between Olympic Drive and Oakland Avenue.
Camden County will be working on Tom Wells Road in Chesilhurst from Monday, May 19 to Friday, May 23 from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Evelyn B. Morine Boulevard and 3rd Avenue.
Beginning on Monday, May 19 there will be a 24/7, one-way closure of Kings Highway between Market Street and Black Horse Pike as well as West Atlantic Avenue and Hopkins Road. The closure is due to the ongoing Kings Highway improvement project that broke ground last fall.
Crews will be working on Coles Mill Road in Haddonfield from Monday, May 19 to Friday, May 23 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Utica Avenue, Farwood Road and Grove Street.
PSE&G will be working on East Park Avenue in Merchantville from Monday, May 19 to Friday, May 23 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a partial road closure between South Center Street and East Chestnut Avenue.
“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, 50 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
