Philadelphia Police Department Academy Class 408 & 409 Graduation Ceremony

Phila policeMayor Cherelle L. Parker, Police Commissioner Kevin J. Bethel, along with members of the Parker administration, the PPD executive team, and leadership from the Fraternal Order of Police will host a graduation ceremony, March 13 at Temple University, Philadelphia, at 10 a.m., to welcome officers from Classes 408 and 409 into the Philadelphia Police Department. 

Class 408 

  • Total of 38 graduating officers. 
  • Several officers have family who worked as law enforcement officers with the Philadelphia Police Department and other departments such as the NYPD, Jersey City PD, and Cheltenham Township PD
  • Three officers have prior military experience, including one officer who began training with Academy Class 401 but was shortly thereafter deployed. 

Class 409

  • Total of 30 graduating officers. 
  • Six officers have prior military experience
  • Class 409 is graduating a former PA State Trooper

Both classes have officers that are second or third generation officers.
