Buddy Camp, 51, of Gloucester City

BuddyOn May 17, 2025. Age 51. Of Gloucester City. Loving and devoted husband of 23 years to Margaret “Peggy’ Camp. Loving father of Matthew Camp (Ava) and Nicholas Camp (Megan). Predeceased by his mother, Evelyn Camp. Beloved brother of Raymond Camp (Sherry), Howard Camp and Eugene Camp. Also survived by his fur babies Moe-Moe and Oakley. 

Buddy was a graduate of Gloucester High School class of 1991. He received his associate’s degree from Camden County College before starting his career in law enforcement as a police officer for the City of Camden and was a Medal of Valor recipient. Buddy was a diehard fan of the Philadelphia Flyers. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday, May 21st from 11 AM to 1 PM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City, where funeral services will be held at 1 PM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Camp Happy Times, a program of The Valerie Fund. Camp Happy Times is a week-long summer camp for children with cancer. Buddy volunteered as a camp counselor from 2001 to 2005. Contributions can be made online at www.thevaleriefund.org  or mailed to 2101 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, NJ 07040.
