All NJMVC Facilities to Close for the State Holiday on Monday, May 26th

TRENTON — All New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJMVC) facilities, including agencies, road test sites, and inspection stations, will be closed Monday, May 26, 2025, in observance of the state holiday. Regular operations will be in effect at all facilities the remainder of the week, including on Saturday, May 24. Meanwhile, the Commission’s website at NJMVC.gov is open 24/7, giving customers access to more than 25 online services, appointment booking, and motor vehicle information whenever and wherever it is convenient for them. While most customers can complete their motor vehicle business online in New Jersey, nearly all in-person services at NJMVC facilities — for permits, driver testing, document renewals, REAL IDs, new titles and registrations, and more — require an appointment that must be scheduled at the website. Commodore Barry Bridge Memorial Day Weekend Travel Advisory

2 lanes open to New Jersey, 3 lanes to Pennsylvania throughout the holiday weekend The Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) is advising motorists traveling to the Jersey Shore via the Commodore Barry Bridge over the Memorial Day holiday weekend to expect lane restrictions and possible delays. From Friday morning through Tuesday, only two lanes will be open eastbound to New Jersey. Due to an ongoing upgrade to the bridge’s moveable barrier system, the usual lane shift to accommodate increased traffic toward New Jersey will not be possible. The current configuration will remain fixed at three lanes westbound to Pennsylvania and two lanes eastbound to New Jersey throughout the holiday weekend.
