2025 Down and Derby Wine Festival
Friday, May 02, 2025
On Saturday, May 3, the Camden County Board of Commissioners and Visit South Jersey will host their fifth annual Down and Derby Wine Festival on Veterans Island at Cooper River Park.
During the event, which will run from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., visitors can sample local wines from 20 of South Jersey’s leading wine producers while immersing themselves in Derby themed fashion and festivities. The event will also feature food trucks, games and live performances by the Lally Brothers Band and Goodman Fiske Band.
“The Down and Derby Wine Festival showcases all of the wonderful food and wine offerings the South Jersey region has to offer,” Commissioner Jeffrey Nash said. “Each year, this event becomes more and more popular, so we invite all of our residents to join us at Veterans Island for a day full of delicious wine, local food and live music.”
The Board of Commissioners is partnering with Visit South Jersey (VSJ) to host the event. Visit South Jersey is the official destination marketing organization for Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem counties, and the Outer Coastal Plain Wine Region in South Jersey. VSJ is a non-profit organization supported in part by a grant from the New Jersey Department of State, Division of Travel and Tourism.
“Every year, the Down & Derby Wine Festival grows bigger and better,” said Michael P. Snyder, director of operations for Visit South Jersey. “This year’s lineup of wineries and entertainment sets the bar even higher, and we can’t wait to show visitors why South Jersey is a premier destination for wine and culture.”
