ANOTHER SHOOTING IN GCITY; WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?

UPDATED WITH NEW INFORMATION CNBNews graphic files GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (CNBNEWS)(MAY 17, 2025)—There was another shooting in Gloucester City, according to the Gloucester City Police Department. This incident occurred in the 200 block of Essex Street on Saturday, May 17, around 3:27 AM. The police said they responded to the 200 block of Essex Street to a report of a gunshot. Upon arrival, officers confirmed that a gun was fired on the street at that location. Police said there was no indication that a bullet struck anyone. Four years prior, on July 10, 2021, an incident involving gunfire occurred in the 300 block of Essex. Nineteen rounds were discharged towards the victim, seven of those rounds struck the victim. Philadelphia Police Seek the Public's Help to Identify Homicide Suspect

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the individual depicted in the attached photographs. The suspect is wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on Wednesday, May 15, 2025. At approximately 6:07 PM, 35th District Officers responded to a radio call for a person with a gun at 1700 Lindley Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive 18-year-old male inside the Logan School playground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by medics to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 6:32 PM. A second victim, a 16-year-old male, was also found at the scene with gunshot wounds to his hands and legs.
