Huntington's Disease Awareness Day: Lighting up the Cira Centre for HD!

Philadelphia, PA (May 15, 2025)--– The Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) is proud to celebrate International Huntington's Disease Awareness Day, as a vital part of our ongoing celebration of Huntington's Disease (HD) Awareness Month. A nationwide initiative dedicated to educating the public and empowering families impacted by this devastating hereditary neurodegenerative disease. Throughout the month of May, HDSA has encouraged (HD) families to "Light It Up For HD" an interactive social media campaign where they adorn their houses with blue lights in an effort to raise awareness and offer support to those affected by HD. Olivia Blymer, age 20, of Brooklawn,

Surrounded by and in the loving care of her family, Olivia passed peacefully at home on May 13, 2025, at the age of 20. The beloved and cherished daughter of James H. Blymer and Kellie Sweeney Blymer, Liv was an adored and loving sister to Jenai Gonzales (Jonathan Walker) and Riley Blymer. She was a cherished granddaughter of James and Maryann Blymer, Joan Gonzales, and of the late Edward Sweeney, the late Gail Sweeney, and the late Margaret Sweeney. Olivia was a loving niece of Theresa Netz and Bruce Myers, and the treasured goddaughter and niece of Jeanette and Matt Dembinski. She is also survived by her cousins, who were more like best friends, Maddie and Jake, along with countless other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and devoted friends. Wanted: Suspect for Assault in the 9th District

The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating the male, who is wanted for an assault. On Friday, May 9, 2025, at 7:02 p.m., a female was assaulted in the 300 block of South 12th Street. A 35-year-old female was walking north on 12th Street when an offender approached her from behind and grabbed her by the neck. and shook her while trying to rip her glasses off her face. The offender then punched the victim in the head. In response, the victim screamed and fought back, punching the offender. The attacker fled westbound on Spruce Street. There has been no arrest at this time. The investigation is active and ongoing with the Central Detectives Unit. Moen Bills to Address Concerns Following Camden Fires Clears Committee

Legislation would create regulations creating stricter requirements & enhanced oversight on scrap metal facilities (TRENTON) – Assemblyman William F.
