Zoey Hunter, of Pennsauken, Premiered Original Film at McDaniel College's Cinema Showcase

WESTMINSTER, MD-Zoey Hunter of Pennsauken, a senior Cinema major, premiered an original student-produced film at the McDaniel Cinema Showcase on May 8 at McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, Maryland. The annual McDaniel Cinema Showcase features narrative and documentary films written, directed, produced, and edited by senior Cinema majors at McDaniel as the culminating project for their senior capstone. Each screening also included a brief Q&A with the student filmmaker. Hunter's film was titled "Hopeless Valentine's" (Narrative, 22 min.). #13 Rowan Falls to TCNJ, 6-4, and Ends NJAC Tournament Run

CAMDEN, NJ - #13 Rowan rallied in the late innings but it wasn't enough as the second-seeded Profs fell to third-seeded TCNJ, 6-4, and were eliminated from the NJAC Baseball Championship held at Rutgers-Camden. The Profs (31-10) will no3 await the selections for the NCAA Regionals that will be announced on Monday at noon on NCAA.com. Freshman Damon Suriani went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and Eric Sabato was 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Phil Sedalis picked up two hits for Rowan. Steven Maiers (5-2) went 6.0 innings and struck out six, but was saddled with the loss. M-13 Member Arresterd in Silver Spring MD

BALTIMORE — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested 38-year-old criminal alien Joel Armando Mejia-Benitez, a Salvadoran national, May 5 in Silver Spring. Mejia is a validated MS-13 gang member and is wanted in his home country for firearms offenses. “The arrest of this violent MS-13 gang member is a critical step in our ongoing mission to safeguard our communities,” said ICE Baltimore acting Field Office Director Nikita Baker. “We remain steadfast in prioritizing public safety and protecting national security by targeting and removing dangerous criminal aliens who threaten the well-being of our Maryland residents.” The U.S. Border Patrol apprehended Mejia near Sullivan City, Texas, Nov. 22, 2004, and served him a notice to appear.
