Washington Politics: America Can Never Break Its Promises to Our Veterans Says Norcross

New Jersey Globe May 5, 2025 by Congressman Donald Norcross Our servicemembers put their lives on the line to keep us safe and free. These brave men and women raised their hands to serve something greater than themselves: their country. When they complete their service, they are owed the benefits they earned and were promised by our grateful nation. I am disgusted that the Trump Administration has fired thousands of veterans and made cuts to their earned benefits. Our veterans made sacrifices for their country. For most, that meant being stationed far away from loved ones and putting their lives on the line for our freedom. And when they returned home, the Trump Administration thanked them by taking away their benefits. As the father of a veteran, I take our obligations to our servicemembers and veterans personally. Their bravery and sacrifice do not end when they take off the uniform.... Read more →

Washington, DC -Today, Congressman Van Drew released the following statement after New Jersey joined 16 other states in filing a lawsuit against President Trump for his executive order halting offshore wind. "You cannot make this stuff up," said Congressman Van Drew. "The Murphy administration already burned through billions of your tax dollars on offshore wind projects that never worked. They pushed it on us even when towns were saying no, fishermen were saying no, and the tourism industry was saying no. They looked the other way while whales washed up on our beaches. They ignored the Pentagon when it said it was a national security risk. The NJ Ratepayer Advocate said it would raise utility bills. The Government Accountability Office (GAO) said the cons outweighed the pros. They did not listen to anyone. And now, after all that, they want to throw even more taxpayer dollars at it in court.... HOME COUNTRY: It was like buzzards circling the body.

By Slim Randles | CNBNews Contributor It was like buzzards circling the body. The Jones kid, Randy, was out in the Mule Barn coffee shop parking lot with the hood up on his car. He was staring down into it the way a first-time parachutist would look out the airplane door. You never quite knew for sure what lay ahead. “Looks like Randy’s got problems,” said Steve. “Let’s have a look,” said Dud. So coffee was left to get cold and the entire Supreme Court of All Things Mechanical – Steve, Dud, Doc, Herb and Dewey – trooped out to see what was going on. They formed a powerful semi-circle of wisdom around the youth and his engine with folded arms and facial expressions that said, “It’s okay, Kid. We’re here.” Dewey spoke first. “Having trouble, Randy?” “Won’t start.” Doc, who has the most initials after his name, said, “Give... Read more →

You’ve probably heard of THC—it’s the rockstar of cannabis, the one that gets you high. But there’s a lesser-known relative quietly making waves: THCP. It’s new, it’s potent, and it might just be the reason some strains hit harder than science could explain until now. Researchers stumbled upon THCP only recently, but it’s already turning heads for being up to 30 times stronger at activating certain receptors in your brain. This guide will walk you through what it is, how it works, and whether it’s worth your attention—or caution. What Makes THCP Different from Regular THC? THCP (tetrahydrocannabiphorol) is chemically similar to THC, but one tiny difference makes a big impact. That difference lies in its tail—a longer side chain on the molecule that allows it to bind more tightly to cannabinoid receptors.
