TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Expect Delays

Expect delayTwo sections of Kings Highway will be closed next week due to ongoing roadwork. From Monday, April 14 to Tuesday, April 15, there will be a partial road closure between East Lake Drive and Edgewood Avenue in Audubon from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Also, from Monday, April 14 to Friday, April 18, there will be a partial road closure between Kings Highway and Market Street in Mount Ephraim from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The closure is due to the ongoing Kings Highway improvement project that broke ground last fall.

Crews will be repairing a bridge on White Horse Road in Voorhees from Monday, April 14 to Thursday, April 17 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day. There will be a full road closure between Burnt Mill and Gibbsboro roads and a partial road closure between Gibbsboro Road and Station Avenue.

PSE&G will be working on Park Avenue in Collingswood and Haddon Township from Monday, April 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a full road closure at the intersection with West Cuthbert Boulevard. 

South Jersey Gas will be working on Berlin Cross Keys and Watsontown-New Freedom roads from Monday, April 14 to Thursday, April 17 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. There will be a partial road closure southbound on Berlin Cross Keys Road between Olympic Drive and Watsontown-New Freedom Road in Berlin Borough and between Watsontown-New Freedom Road and Surrey Avenue in Pine Hill. There will also be a full road closure on Watsontown-New Freedom Road between Clementon and New Freedom roads.

New Jersey American Water will be working on North Haddon Avenue in Haddonfield from Monday, April 14 to Friday, April 18 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Marne and Hawthorne avenues.

Crews will be working on Coles Mill Road in Haddonfield from Monday, April 14 to Friday, April 18 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Utica Avenue, Farwood Road and Grove Street.

Crews will be working on Chapel Avenue in Cherry Hill from Monday, April 14 to Friday, April 18 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Hampton Road and Magnolia Avenue.

“While these closures may cause some disruptions, it is an important step in the overall revitalization of this roadway,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “To avoid delays, motorists should avoid the area or find alternate routes ahead of time. And as always, if you are traveling through a construction area, please slowdown and watch for debris and road crew members.”

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, 50 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
