Penn Relays at Franklin Field

The renowned Penn Relays, celebrating its 135th anniversary in 2025, is the oldest and largest track and field meet in the nation.
Held at the University of Pennsylvania’s historic Franklin Field (which was constructed in 1895 to hold the event), the massive three-day festival features over 15,000 athletes from a dozen countries participating in more than 300 track and field events in front of 110,000 spectators.
The meet includes competitions in high school, college, Olympic and masters divisions, along with a Carnival Village featuring music, merch, apparel and food vendors.
