Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Adds New Detective

Camden, NJ - Welcome to the team! The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office has hired a new detective, announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay. On Monday, April 21, 2025, Detective Stephen Morrone Jr. was sworn in by Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay before First Assistant Prosecutor Timothy K. Chatten, Chief of Detectives Robert Ferris, Deputy Chief of Detectives Randall MacNair, and Chief of Staff Michael Mangold. Detective Morrone comes to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office after having served as a police officer and a detective with the Merchantville Police Department since March 2017. #18 Rowan Baseball Walks it Off Twice in Sweep of William Paterson

GLASSBORO, NJ - Marco Mannino and Karson Harcourt each drove in the winning runs as #18 Rowan walked it off twice in a doubleheader sweep of William Paterson by scores of 11-10 and 12-11 (10 innings) on Senior Day at the Rowan Baseball Field. The Profs (23-8; 8-4 NJAC) have now won five in a row. Phil Sedalis hit home runs in both games and went 4-for-9 on the day with five RBI and Mannino was 5-for-8 with five RBI. Mark Grubb (2-1) earned the win in Game 1 and freshman Evan Brasberger (1-0) picked up his first career victory in Game 2. #20 Rowan Women's Lacrosse Rolls Over Kean, 19-4

UNION, NJ - Elaina Corson and Calista Burke scored five goals each as #20 Rowan rolled to a 19-4 win in NJAC women's lacrosse at Kean. It was the fifth consecutive win for the Profs, improving them to 13-1, and 3-0 in the conference. Molly Green scored three times and Trish Gillen handed out a career-high seven assists, while also scoring a goal, with Hannah Lombardo chipping in two goals. Rowan staked a 5-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, as Burke tallied three goals. Roland G. Johnson of Audubon

Suddenly on March 22, 2025, of Audubon, NJ. He was 78 years old. Beloved husband of 30 years to Kathleen. Loving father of Tracy (Mark) Piontkowski and Keith Johnson. Cherished grandfather of Madison and Kailey and grand dogs, Cody and Samantha. Son of the late Roland G. Sr. and Letitia Johnson. Brother of John (Darlene) Johnson and the late Andrea Latva. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. Roland was a U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam veteran. He worked as a heat, frost and asbestos worker and was a longtime member of Union Local #14, Philadelphia, PA. He was a member of American Legion Post #281 and enjoyed his times there with his special friends.
