UNION, NJ - Elaina Corson and Calista Burke scored five goals each as #20 Rowan rolled to a 19-4 win in NJAC women's lacrosse at Kean. It was the fifth consecutive win for the Profs, improving them to 13-1, and 3-0 in the conference.
Molly Green scored three times and Trish Gillen handed out a career-high seven assists, while also scoring a goal, with Hannah Lombardo chipping in two goals.
Rowan staked a 5-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, as Burke tallied three goals.
The Profs kept it going, scoring the first three of the second quarter, as Corson netted a pair to increase Rowan's lead to 8-0. Kean (3-9; 0-3) got on the board with two straight before Yasmin Harris tallied one, off a pass from Gillen, with 1:41 left that gave Rowan a 9-2 halftime lead.
Rowan scored eight unanswered goals in the third quarter to up the lead to 17-2 as Gillen scored one and handed out three assists. Alexis Lowry also had one goal and two assists in the flurry of goals.
Kean added two in the fourth with Lombardo scoring off a pass from Olivia Wisor, and Green netting the final goal for the Profs.
Mel Rodgers made three saves for Rowan, with Kylie Durboraw stopping two as the Profs outshot the Cougars, 33-11.
Rowan will host its final regular-season home game on Wednesday when it takes on Montclair State for "Senior Night", with a 6 p.m. start time. The Profs close out the regular season at #11 TCNJ on April 26.
