On March 31, 2025 at approximately 2:15 AM, an unknown white male was captured on surveillance video breaking into the La Truchita Nica Mini Market located at 1146 S. 9th. Street by removing an air conditioner from the rear window. Once inside, the suspect took the cash register and fled in an unknown direction. (Camden, NJ) – The Camden County Police Department is looking for a missing 14-year-old from East Camden. Nasheem Helton El has been reported missing from his home on the unit block of Dudley Street. He is described as a black male, 5’8”, 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, tan pants and black and gray New Balance sneakers. Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Van Drew announced that following his direct engagement with the Department of the Interior, the Department of Commerce, and the Department of Justice, the Empire Wind project off the coasts of New Jersey and New York will be ordered to halt construction. CRIME White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt outlined key points from the memorandum to reporters at a press briefing on Tuesday afternoon. Through the memorandum, Trump aims to stop noncitizens and “other ineligible people” from obtaining social security, Medicare or Medicaid benefits in part by expanding fraud prosecution efforts across the country. “[The memorandum] will expand the Social Security Administration's fraud prosecutor program to at least 50 U.S. attorney offices and establish a Medicare and Medicaid fraud prosecution program in 15 U.S. attorney offices,” Leavitt said. The Social Security Administration's Inspector General will also be required to audit earnings reports for people aged 100 and older whose records have shown conflicting information to fight identity theft....

CAMDEN CITY, NJ (April 17, 2025)--On Feb. 21, a vast four-alarm fire at the EMR facility, located at the 1400 block of South Front Street, sent black smoke billowing into Camden City and could be seen from more than 15 miles away. Now, EMR will be investing $6.7 million back into the waterfront south neighborhood and the surrounding community. Of EMR’s $6.7 million pledge, $4.5 million will be committed this calendar year and $450,000 will be paid annually over next five years.
