Woodlynne, NJ – Detectives are investigating a shooting that killed a man in Woodlynne yesterday morning, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez. On Thursday, April 10, 2025, at approximately 7:47 a.m., officers from the Camden County Police Department responded to the 100 block of Chestnut Avenue in Woodlynne for a report of an unresponsive male. Upon arrival, officers located a victim – later identified as Randiel Guzman-Marte, 33, of Woodlynne – lying on the front porch of a residence. The victim had sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene. This investigation is active and ongoing at this time.

On Thursday, April 10, 2025, at approximately 7:03 p.m., a shooting occurred in the 12th District on the 2000 block of South 57th Street. A juvenile male was shot and was transported by police to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where he is currently listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing and is being handled by the Shooting Investigation Group. Updates will be provided as they become available.

The ceremony marked the transition of command from Capt. Gi Houng K. Pyon to Capt. Jasmyne M. Croshon. Pyon, a native of Atlanta, has led the South Jersey Recruiting Company with distinction, overseeing recruiting operations across five stations in New Jersey: Cherry Hill, Sicklerville, Northfield, Vineland, and Woodbury. Under his leadership, the company successfully recruited numerous future soldiers, contributing significantly to the mission of the Mid-Atlantic Recruiting Battalion. Camden, NJ – Detectives are continuing to investigate a March 2025 shooting that resulted in the death of a Camden teenager last week, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez. On March 20, 2025, at approximately 6:27 p.m., officers from the Camden County Police Department responded to the area of South 7th Street and Ware Street in Camden for reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers located a gunshot victim – later identified as Zaheer Whye, 18, of Camden – behind a residence on the 700 block of Ware Street. He was transported to Cooper University Hospital for treatment. The victim later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on April 4, 2025.
