Section of Kings Highway to close Thursday, March 13

Road closure(Lindenwold, NJ) – A 24/7 one-way closure of Kings Highway between Amherst Road and White Horse Pike in Haddon Heights will begin on Thursday, March 13 and last for approximately three weeks. Southbound thru traffic, driving towards White Horse Pike, will be detoured around the work zone using Amherst and Harvard roads. The closure is due to the ongoing Kings Highway improvement project that broke ground last fall.

“This closure may cause some disruptions, but it is an important step in this transformative improvement project,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “To avoid delays, motorists should avoid the area or find alternate routes ahead of time. And as always, if you are traveling through a construction area, please slowdown and watch for debris and road crew members.”

For any concerns and questions about this project residents can call Paul Nolan, Project Manager, Colliers Engineering & Design, (732) 704-5931. To report concerns on any Camden County roadways, call (856) 566-2980 or visit www.camdencounty.com.

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, 50 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
