Rowan Women's Lacrosse Defeats Kenyon, 14-3, to Post First-Ever 5-0 Start

GLASSBORO, NJ -Elaina Corson scored six goals to power Rowan to a 14-3 win over visiting Kenyon in women's lacrosse action. It marks the first-ever 5-0 start in the history of the Profs' program. Fiona Lockhart scored three goals and Hannah Lombardo
and Calista Burke had two apiece in the win, with Molly Green adding one.
Sophomore Kylie Durboraw made her first start in goal for the Profs and made four saves to be credited with her first-ever win.

Rowan wasted no time taking charge, scoring the game's first four goals, with three from Corson, to own a 4-0 advantage in the first nine minutes. Kenyon got on the board with 2:10 left in the quarter.

The Profs kept it going in the second quarter, with six straight goals to take a commanding 10-1 lead into halftime. Corson added two more to her tally, while Lockhart scored twice.

In the third quarter, Rowan ran its goal-scoring streak to 10 consecutive, with Burke, Lockhart, Corson and Lombardo finding the back of the net to give it a 14-1 advantage. Kenyon (2-4) ended Rowan's scoring streak with a pair of goals in the fourth quarter.

Rowan will host Susquehanna on Saturday at 1 p.m. before embarking on a two-game trip over Spring Break, where the Profs will visit Randolph Macon on March 19th and then #22 Christopher Newport on March 21st.
