Philadelphia Police Department Investigate Stabbing

In the 18th District, a stabbing occurred at 56XX Sansom Street on the highway at 3:04 a.m. A Black male, identified as "John Doe" and believed to be in his mid-20s, was stabbed once in the left side of the abdomen. Police transported him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition. The scene has been secured, and the offender is in custody; however, no weapon has been recovered. The investigation remains ongoing with Southwest Detectives.
In the 25th District, another stabbing took place inside a bar at 40XX N Reese Street at 1:07 a.m. A 35-year-old Hispanic female suffered stab wounds to both arms. She was transported to Einstein Medical Center by PFD Medic and is stable. There were no arrests made and no weapons recovered. The case remains under investigation by East Detectives.
