North Wildwood Man Arrested for Drugs Distribution

Sutherland and Chief Katherine Madden of the North Wildwood Police Department announce the arrest of Tahiem Howell, age 46, a resident of the 200 East Block of 17th Avenue North Wildwood, NJ. On March 21, 2025, the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns, and Narcotics Task Force concluded a cooperative investigation into the distribution of controlled dangerous substances by Howell.

On this same date, the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns, and Narcotics Task Force along with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the North Wildwood Police Department and the Cape May County Regional SWAT Team executed Court-authorized search warrants on the residence and person of Taheim Howell. As a result of these searches, approximately three (3) ounces of cocaine, one (1) ounce of heroin, paraphernalia related to the distribution of CDS and approximately fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500.00) in Untied States Currency was seized.

Tahiem Howell was charged with: two (2) counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute, a crime of the 2nd degree; two (2) counts of Endangering the welfare of a child, a crime of the 2nd degree; two (2) counts of Possession of CDS, a crime of the 3rd degree; one (1) count of Distribution of CDS in a school zone, a crime of the 3rd degree; one (1) count of Money laundering, a crime of the 3rd degree and one (1) count of Distribution of paraphernalia, a crime of the 4th degree*

Tahiem Howell was processed and lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center pending Court proceedings. Individuals convicted of second-degree crimes are subject to a term of imprisonment of five (5) to ten (10) years in New Jersey State Prison. Prosecutor Sutherland stated his office will continue to work hand in hand with Federal and State partners along with the local municipalities to target anyone selling illegal, controlled, dangerous substances as well as the illegal possession of firearms.
