GalenSuddenly, on March 11, 2025, passed at the age of 31. Of Gloucester City, NJ Williamsburg NYC, Brooklyn, NY, Mt. Laurel, NJ, and Bloomfield NJ.

Beloved and cherished son of Andrea Lee Spencer-Linzie and the late Phillip Craig Spencer-Linzie. Beloved brother of Justin Spencer-Linzie. Also survived by many loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family of the Spencer and Linzie families.

Affectionately known as GSL and G-Spence, Galen was born in Westwood, NJ. He was a graduate of Moorestown Friends School class of 2011 and received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bucknell University in 2015. Galen was currently working in advertising and marketing. He had a passion for the arts, music and sports.

Galen loved spending time with his friends, traveling, making new relationships, and developing and designing art. Galen in his later life gained an interest in politics, social justice, and ways to generally create a better world for our communities. He was working on setting up a podcast channel and twitch stream that would allow him to communicate those views and create content with others on the web. He was a compassionate person and strong willed in his views. He was a loving brother, a great son, and an even better friend to those around him. Galen’s laugh could be heard a mile away and a smile that would turn the worst day for someone into something manageable. Galen was an avid runner and loved to make sure he stayed in shape through jump roping, playing basketball, or going to the gym. His favorite teams were the Yankees, Denver Broncos, and of course the Los Angeles Lakers. If you knew Galen, you knew his favorite player was Kobe Bryant and would let you know otherwise if you didn’t believe Kobe was one of the best players the NBA has ever seen.

Galen had many talents and interests including playing lacrosse and basketball at Moorestown Friends, as well as learning and playing the saxophone in the band at MFS and Bucknell University. He enjoyed performing and playing with his family and fraternity to the delight of those around him. Galen also played the guitar and taught himself to play the drums as well. Galen’s art was a reflection of his joy and dedication, leading to distinctive pieces that captured his genuine perspective. He took this passion and followed his heart into his professional career of graphic design and brand management.

Galen was always ready for the next adventure with enthusiasm and positivity with everything he did. Galen was a smart, kind, thoughtful, gregarious, and caring individual who loved everyone around him. Galen was a light in many hearts and will continue to burn brightly forever and also in Heaven.
