The Cold Springs School Signs (Gloucester City) Are In Deplorable Condition...

CORRECTION/UPDATED William E. Cleary Sr. | CNBNews CNBNews photo credit CNBNews believes that the structure has never been maintained based on its appearance. What impression do those people have of the school district and the City of Gloucester City when they view this dilapidated structure? A view of the same sign reveals the rotting plywood and pieces of concrete that broke away from the damaged structure. The school opened in the mid-1990s and cost taxpayers of Gloucester City and the state of New Jersey an estimated $20 million to build. The preschool addition, which opened in 2004, cost $11 million. ***** GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (March 21, 2025)(CNBNews)--Anyone passing by the concrete signs welcoming students... Read more →

"The updated guidelines substantially increased lung cancer screenings overall, even as cancer screenings declined during the COVID-19 pandemic," said Tracy E. Crane, Ph.D., R.D.N., associate professor and co-leader of the Cancer Control Research Program at Sylvester. "However, discrepancies for who is screened persist, underscoring the importance of addressing structural barriers in rural and underserved populations." GUEST OPINION: Medicare's Drug Pricing Reform Will Hurt Chronic Disease Patients

By Dr. Kenneth E. Thorpe Just before the inauguration, the outgoing Biden administration announced 15 new medications that'll be subject to government price negotiations under the Inflation Reduction Act. The new prices, which only apply to Medicare, will officially take effect in 2027. Many will celebrate this government pricing as a win for affordable healthcare, but the reality is far more complex. In fact, for the tens of millions of Americans managing chronic conditions, government price-setting could end up making it harder to access life-saving treatments. The fundamental driver of America's healthcare affordability crisis isn't drug prices themselves -- it's the complex system of rebates, discounts, and market distortions created by insurance companies and middlemen called pharmacy benefit managers. These entities act as gatekeepers between drug manufacturers and patients. Insurers and PBMs negotiate steep discounts for themselves while saddling everyday people with exorbitant out-of-pocket costs. Just last month, the Federal... Read more →

Safe and Secure Casino Apps: What NJ Players Need to Know Before Downloading

SPGA Fights to Protect Sweepstakes Gaming in New Jersey

https://pixabay.com/photos/atlantic-city-boardwalk-new-jersey-3812182/ The Sweepstakes Gaming Protection Alliance (SPGA) is asking New Jersey lawmakers to reject a bill that could harm sweepstakes-based gaming models. Those who are against the bill view the legislation as unfairly targeting legitimate businesses and say it limits choices for gamers by restricting their access to alternative gaming platforms. If the bill is passed, it could disrupt a thriving industry and drive players to some of the Top Instant Casino platforms. These platforms are licensed and regulated outside of the US, offering a wider range of games, bonuses, and promotions that are appealing. The SPGA believes that instead of imposing a broad ban, lawmakers should focus on fine-tuning regulations so that there is fair oversight without eliminating lawful sweepstakes gaming. The proposed bill aims to change and refine the current legal framework on sweepstakes-based gaming. The changes will result in many existing models being classified as unlawful gambling...
