The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating missing juvenile Isaliena Vincente. The 14-year-old was last seen at her residence on the 5400 block of West Berks Street. She is approximately 5'2", weighs around 119 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair. Her clothing description is unknown. Isaliena is known to frequent the areas of 52nd and Market, 100 North Conestoga, and the Salvation Army lot near 55th and Market Street. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is urged to contact Southwest Detectives at 215-686-3183 or call 911.

MAYS LANDING, NJ – On February 27, 2025, Edward Johnston, 25, pled guilty to Aggravated Manslaughter for causing the death of 8-year-old Javier Velez in Absecon on July 23, 2023. The investigation revealed that the defendant was intoxicated and traveling at approximately 107 MPH westbound on the White Horse Pike. His vehicle left the lane of travel and collided with the rear of a parked vehicle, where the victim was sleeping while the victim’s father and brother fished just outside the vehicle. Johnston will be sentenced on May 13, 2025, before the Hon. Joseph Levin, J.S.C. The plea agreement calls for the defendant to serve 15 years in New Jersey State Prison, subject to the No Early Release Act, meaning Johnston must serve 85% before becoming eligible for parole. (Lindenwold, NJ) – A 24/7 one-way closure of Kings Highway between Amherst Road and White Horse Pike in Haddon Heights will begin on Thursday, March 13 and last for approximately three weeks. Southbound thru traffic, driving towards White Horse Pike, will be detoured around the work zone using Amherst and Harvard roads. The closure is due to the ongoing Kings Highway improvement project that broke ground last fall. “This closure may cause some disruptions, but it is an important step in this transformative improvement project,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “To avoid delays, motorists should avoid the area or find alternate routes ahead of time. The Historical Society will mark the 176th anniversary of Henry Box Brown's escape from slavery in Virginia on March 29, 1849 with a special performance by actor Barry Moore. We'll be celebrating Saturday, March 29 from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Peter Mott House Underground Railroad Museum. The Society will honor Thomas Flack who delivered on his promise to create a replica of the crate Mr. Brown used to ship himself to Philadelphia. No registration is required.
