SELF-INFLICTED FATAL INJURY DURING A POLICE ENCOUNTER

Winslow, NJ –On February 26, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., in Winslow Township, a police encounter occurred in the vicinity of Lehigh Manor Estates, Sicklerville, NJ resulting in one individual sustaining a self-inflicted fatal injury reported Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay.

The investigation conducted by this Office confirmed that no shots were fired by any law enforcement officers during this encounter.

A Winslow Township Police Department Officer was removed from the scene for medical treatment. The officer’s injuries appear to be non-life threatening.

The investigation also confirmed that this was an isolated incident and that there is no active threat to area residents or the surrounding community.

This investigation remains active and ongoing. No further information will be released at this time.
