Rowan Women's Lacrosse Rolls Over Drew, 22-3

GLASSBORO, NJ -Elaina Corson scored eight goals and senior; Molly Greenm , set the school record for career draw controls as the Rowan women's lacrosse team rolled to a 22-3 win over visiting Drew in a non-conference matchup. The Profs improve to 2-0 on the year.
Corson reached her career-high and was one goal shy of the Rowan record for goals in a game (9), held by Becca Wood (2013) and Allie Dickey (2011). She also had two assists on the day for a total of 10 points.
Green, who had five goals and three assists, recorded 10 draw controls to become Rowan's all-time leader in that category. She now has 297 in her career, breaking the mark of 292 draw controls previously held by All-American Taylor Gretz (2015-19).
Hannah Lombardo, Calista Burke and Alexis Lowry netted two goals apiece with Yasmin Harris and Sofia Lijo each adding one, while Olivia Repko notched her first career goal. Trish Gillen posted three assists while every Prof on the roster saw action today.
Corson tallied five of Rowan's first eight goals, including four in a row, as the Profs got off to an 8-0 start. Rowan had a 10-0 lead before Drew got on the board at 10:33 of the second quarter. Corson finished the half with seven tallies as Rowan held a commanding 15-1 halftime lead.
Rowan scored eight goals in the second half to close out the victory, coming one goal shy of the school record for goals in a game.
The Profs will face their first nationally-ranked team of the season on Saturday when they host #17 Stevens at 1 p.m.
