By the end of the day, she was planning for year two. Even with the cancellations due to COVID, their  non-profit was busy publishing books and creating activities for KIDS of all ages. Now, 20 Years later, Linda is  still planning with help from Stockton contact, Tom Kinsella and celebrating with many pine barren enthusiasts,  the birth of an idea and the success of all of tts events, programs and publications.

This year the theme with emphasis on KIDS activities is “Folklore” and the can elect to sign up to learn 8  factual/fictional pine barrens stories. Also, they can earn a patch by completing activities in the PB&J Booklet or  do both as well as become artists for the day doing arts and crafts in the KIDS hall. Laurie of Funny Farm Rescue  will be there along with some of her wonderful, “everyone gets along” animals for them to observe and pet.

The event is centered around authors of the NJ Pine Barrens and they never disappoint. New to the event are Vea  Lewis -“Pine and Dandy,” Robert Cobb – “Privateers and Pine-Robbers” Mary Ann Trail –“…History of Egg  Harbour Township, NJ,” Ellen Alford – “…Underground Railroad in South Jersey…” and others.

Expect to visit several historical societies from south jersey towns such as Galloway Twp., Mullica Twp., Tuckerton, Great Egg Harbor, Vineland, and Barnegat as well as WJC Nat’l Railway, Rancocas Conservancy,  and the Ocean County Cultural & Heritage Commission, all sharing information.

Continuous music in separate areas of the event will be presented by the Acoustic Musicians Guild and the  Groggy Pine Boys. At the main entrance will be the Daniel Keiser Band.
