Description

* WHAT...West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 50 to 60 mph expected. * WHERE...Portions of northern Delaware, central and southern New Jersey, and southeast Pennsylvania. * WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 6 PM EST Monday. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wet soils combined with the high winds could result in extensive tree damage. The strong winds will usher in much colder air, with temperatures in the 20s and 30s and wind chills in the teens. Potential for power outages combined with the cold could exacerbate the impacts of this high wind event.

Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive
