Suddenly, On February 2, 2025, at the age of 18. Of Gloucester City. Adored and Cherished son of Albert Gerber (Don) and Judith Davis – Gerber (Michael). Predeceased by his paternal grandparents: Albert Gerber, Sr. and Patricia Gerber (nee Reddy). Loving maternal grandson of John Davis and predeceased by Antoinette Davis (nee Scuderi). Beloved nephew of Debbie and predeceased by John (Tina). Dear cousin of Jordan, Sean, Victoria (Christopher), Krystal, John III, and Matthew. Mason was a true original who left his mark on everyone he encountered. His enthusiastic bear hugs were legendary, and he was well loved everywhere he went. He was uncommonly kind, particularly to younger children, animals and insects. He loved to search through gardens for crickets and praying mantises, and he was one of the few who truly loved the infamous spotted lantern fly. Camden County Saw Significant Reduction In Overdose Rates In 2024

Long term programs and initiatives in treatment and outreach throughout the county save lives (Gloucester Township, NJ) – Camden County continues to be at the forefront of fighting the opioid and overdose epidemics in New Jersey. The tireless work undertaken by the Board of Commissioners, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, Cooper University Health Care and several more local, state and federal agencies has paid off as the county experienced a historic 37% drop in fatal overdoses in 2024. According to the Office of the Chief State Medical Examiner, there were 206 suspected drug deaths in Camden County from Jan. 1, 2024, to Dec. 31, 2024, compared to 327 during the same time period in 2023. “The Board of Commissioners has spent years committed to ending the overdose epidemic that has swept across our communities and to see real, positive progress is an incredible feeling,” said Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr.... 100 Student-Athletes Named to MAC Academic Honor Roll

A total of 100 Alvernia University student-athletes were named to the MAC Academic Honor Roll for the 2024 fall semester, as announced by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Executive Director Megan Morrison including: Ryan Dennison of Alloway, NJ (08001), Anthony Hugee of Lumberton, NJ (08048), Maria Mazzoni of Vineland, NJ (08360), Mazzoni also earned a 4.0 GPA during the fall semester. Across the conference, a total of 1,809 student-athletes who competed in men's and women's cross country, field hockey, football, men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball were recognized. The fall academic honor roll is composed of student-athletes who competed in a varsity-level sport and registered a fall term/semester GPA of 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale) or higher. Philadelphia PD Crime Report

PHILADELPHIA PA (February 7, 2025)(CNBNews)--On Thursday, February 6 at 11:00 p.m., officers from the 22nd District responded to a radio call reporting a "Person with a gun" on the 1500 block of North Carlisle Street. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim, 20-year-old Chase Myles from Bowie, MD, lying on the highway with a gunshot wound to the chest. Police transported him to Temple Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 11:15 p.m. The shooter, identified as 23-year-old Nicholas Iaderosa from the 1400 block of North Carlisle Street, was arrested and will be charged with Murder and related offenses.
