On February 2, 2025, Age 86. Of Gloucester City. Beloved son of the late Anthony and Victoria (D’Amico) Joy. Cherished father of Michael Joy (Michele Gosciniak); loving grandfather of Jemmalena and Aubrieanna Joy; brother of Carmen Marra. Michael was also predeceased by his wife Betty Jane (Stankunas) Joy in July 2019 and his brother, Anthony Joy. Michael proudly served his country in the U.S. Army following his high school graduation. He later worked as a manager for Lees Auto Parts and Al’s Auto Parts in Pennsauken, NJ. He was a long-time parishioner of Saint Mary’s R.C. Church in Gloucester City. PHILADELPHIA – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers and agriculture specialists hosted a career lunch and learn for a group of youths from a local foundation at Philadelphia International Airport on Wednesday. The youths are from the KB Foundation, a non-profit mentoring organization that aims to build the developmental and social competencies of adolescent youth through educational, recreational, and hands-on experiences. Offshore Wind Development Delayed Four Years for NJ Trenton, NJ - Today, the Board of Public Utilities (BPU) announced that they will not proceed with an award in New Jersey’s fourth offshore wind solicitation. There were three bidders in this solicitation, including a rebid and final offer from Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind LLC to continue with their development with prices adjusted to account for inflation and supply chain issues. Without their fourth solicitation award, Atlantic Shores is unable to continue the development of their projects. The BPU explained in a statement that this decision was informed by Shell’s backing out as an equity partner from the American clean energy market just last week and uncertainty at the Federal level.
