Rowan Men's Basketball Falls to TCNJ, 100-75, in First NJAC Game of 2025

RowanEWING, NJ - TCNJ led from the opening tip shooting over 60 percent in the first half en route to a 100-75 win over visiting Rowan in the first conference game of the New Year for both teams. Rowan is now 7-6 and moves to 4-2 in the NJAC.

TCNJ (10-3; 5-1) held a 24-18 lead at the midway point of the first half but then broke open the game with a 20-6 run over seven minutes to take control with a 42-24 lead. The Lions would own a 49-28 lead at halftime as Rowan shot just 28 percent (9-for-32) while TCNJ went 19-for-31 from the field and connected on seven three-pointers.

Rowan warmed up from the perimeter in the second half, shooting 50 percent, but couldn't make up much ground as TCNJ built its lead to 58-30 in the first four minutes. The Lions led by as much as 83-53 with eight minutes to play and the Profs couldn't get the deficit under 22 points.

The Profs will look to get back on the winning track when they host Ramapo on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.
