Mount Ephraim Man Charged with Death By Auto; Accident in Gloucester City

Gloucester City, N.J. (January 9, 2025) A Mount Ephraim man has been charged in connection to a fatal motor vehicle crash in Gloucester City last month, announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Gloucester City Police Chief Brian Morrell.
On December 29, 2024, at approximately 2:10 a.m., Gloucester City Police responded to the area of Crescent Boulevard and Klemm Avenue for a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, seven people were taken to the hospital for medical treatment. An investigation revealed that William St. John’s vehicle struck a victim’s vehicle, left the scene, and returned shortly afterward.
St. John, 27, of Mount Ephraim, was located and placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated by alcohol/drugs.
One victim of the crash, identified as Melina Dubosse, 62, of Philadelphia, was pronounced deceased at Cooper University Hospital on January 2, 2025.
St. John has been charged with second-degree Death by Auto.
All individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
