Lane Closures-I-295, Route 322, Route 42, I-676, and Route 70

I-295, Route 322, Route 42, I-676, and Route 70  daytime shoulder closures beginning Monday in  Salem, Camden, Gloucester and Burlington counties Overnight lane closures to begin in approximately one month 

(Trenton) – I-295, Route 322, Route 42, I-676, and Route 70 are scheduled to have daytime shoulder closures in both directions over the next several weeks as a maintenance  guiderail replacement project begins in various locations throughout Salem, Camden,  Gloucester and Burlington counties. 

From 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning Monday, January 6 and continuing daily, Monday through  Friday, for the next several weeks, there are shoulder closures scheduled for guiderail  replacement on the following roads: 

  • I-295 northbound and southbound between Hollywood Avenue/CR 618 in Carneys  Point, Salem County and Route 45/CR 626/Rancocas-Mount Holly Road in  Westampton, Burlington County.  
  • Route 322 eastbound and westbound between Springers Road and I-295 in Logan,  Gloucester County. 
  • Route 42 northbound and southbound between Sicklerville Road/CR 705 in Washington and Clement’s Bridge Road in Deptford, Gloucester County. 
  • I-676 northbound and southbound between I-76 and Newton Avenue/CR 604 in  Camden, Camden County. 
  • Route 70 eastbound and westbound between Plymouth Drive and North Elmwood  Drive in Evesham, Burlington County. 

Overnight Lane Closures 

I-295, Route 322, Route 42, I-676, and Route 70 are scheduled to have overnight lane  closures in both directions, beginning in February, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next day,  Monday through Friday nights to continue guiderail replacement work throughout the various work zones in Salem, Camden, Gloucester and Burlington counties.

Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution, and expect delays when driving  through the various work zones. 

This work is part of a $4 million state funded maintenance project that will replace guiderail  along 42 miles of I-295 from Carneys Point, Salem County to Westampton, Burlington  County; approximately two miles of Route 322 in Logan, Gloucester County; approximately  five and a half miles of Route 42 from Washington to Deptford, Gloucester County; approximately three miles of I-676 in Camden, Camden County; and approximately one  mile of Route 70 in Evesham, Burlington County. This project is expected to be completed in  2028.
