John James Sprowl, 78, of Barrington

John jamesPeacefully on January 11, 2025, at home in Barrington, NJ.  He was 78 years old.

Beloved husband of 49 years to Kathy (nee Esposito).  Loving father of Michelle (Bob) Woyshner, Nicole Fisher, Steven Sprowl (Denise Henry) and Megan (Joe) Fleming.  Dear PopPop of Alexandra (Erich), Meredith, Madison, Ava, Olivia, Addison and Luke and great granddaughter, Maddalena.  He was predeceased by his parents, William and Grace; stepmother, Meta; twin brother, William and step siblings, Howard, Billy and Judy.

John was a retired United States veteran after 27 years of service in the Navy, Army National Guard and Air National Guard.  He was the Murray-Trout Post #262 Commander, Squadron Commander and Camden County Commander.  John was the owner/operator of John Sprowl Electric and was instrumental in lights being installed for the soccer fields behind Woodland School in Barrington.  He also dedicated many years to the Barrington Soccer Club as a coach and volunteer.  John may have worn many hats in life but most important to him were being a devoted husband, dad and PopPop to his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday, January 16, 6 PM to 8 PM and  Friday, January 17, 9 AM to 10 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 250 White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ.  Prayer Service will follow on Friday at 10 AM.  Interment Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
