Donald is survived by his loving and devoted husband Jorge M. Lopez-Zuniga; sons, Christopher and Peter (Jennifer); cherished grandsons, Joshua, Vincent, Andrew; sisters, Katherine Reynolds, and Carol Williams. His sisters, Mary Ulary, Ruth Nester and Esther Burnett, predeceased him.

Donald graduated from Unionville High school and West Chester State College. He taught in the West Chester school district of Pennsylvania for 35 years.

Traveling was one of his favorite activities, and he wouldn’t miss an opportunity to do so. One summer during college, he worked at a factory in Stuttgart, Germany, which became one of his many interesting stories to tell at family gatherings.

Another favorite pastime was supporting his children’s activities, including ice hockey, karate, and dirt bike races. Donald was also a very handy and a talented carpenter spending time renovating multiple homes throughout the years.

As a mathematician, Donald was fascinated by the number Pi and its application to the round shape, which led him to collect spheres of different sizes. He was an avid reader of fiction and non-fiction and enjoyed music, museums, art and working on puzzles.

Honoring Donalds wishes, there will be no visitation and no services. Cremation will be held privately.
